Bath time fun?

A few months ago Lindley started disliking baths. I'm not sure why really, but she refuses to sit down and gets mad when you wash her. However, I finally last week I did get a few smiles!

Ears pierced!!!

Lilly has wanted her ears pierced for quite some time. For some reason she would never asked Jeff if she could. Jeff said if she wasn't big enough to ask then she wasn't ready. She put it on her bucket list for summer. A few weeks ago she finally asked Jeff if she could get them done. He talked to her about taking care of them and asked if she knew it would hurt. She said she knew and was ready. So last weekend her and I had a girls day and she got them done!!!

She did amazing!!! She didn't make a peep! She was nervous and said it hurt, but she never cried. The minute they cleaned them and showed her she was grinning ear to ear. She has been so responsible and helping me remember to clean them. She hasn't fussed or complained one time. I told her it was ok if they hurt that she could tell me. I explained that was normal, but she hasn't. A few times when I've turned them she said it hurt, but that's it. We also realized that she gets to take them out on her birthday!!

 

Bucket List fun!

We've been working on our bucket quite a bit over the past week! I took the kids to Chuck E. Cheese and we did puppet shows on Thursday Friday Mom kept Lindley and Jeff, Lilly, Lance and I went to the Naval Air Museum and went to a Blue Wahoos game!! It was a lot of fun!! The kids were so engaged and well behaved. We really enjoyed it!

Lindley LOVED the rides. The other two were so excited about the tubes/tunnels on the ceiling. I told Jeff I am seriously considering how much it would cost to put them in their rooms! They LOVED them!!

The Naval Air Museum was SO amazing!! There were tons of different planes and the kids were able to sit in many of them! We did a simulated ride with the Blue Angels, which the kids loved. We also so an IMAX movie. Lilly really enjoyed it, but Lance fell asleep!! :-)

I was so impressed at how engaged they were. They got excited and would run a here and there a bit, but they really listened when we explained things to them. They were blown away with the model air craft carrier! So glad we finally went!!

The company sponsoring the game not only provided the beach towels, but also the face painting and had a big wheel you could spin and get a prize. Lilly got sunglasses, Lance got a foam hand and I got a t-shirt. Jeff didn't do it.

 

So notice his face paint....I knew it wasn't a good idea. It lasted about 3 innings and he started sweating and wiped his forehead. He was so upset he smeared it that he started crying and had white and black tears. :-(   Luckily they were still doing it and they were willing to give him another one!!

A much happier boy! We went with his arm the second time!!

There also got to practice pitching and play in a bounce house!

Here they are with Kazoo!! Lilly wasn't going to do it, but I told her it would be good practice for Disney and she agreed. She did great!

This is about the 7th inning....the kids were wearing down. We made it to the end and the Blue Wahoo's won!!! The kids never complained and were so good!! I just can't believe how much fun we had! Lindley had fun playing at Mammaw's but we happy to see us!

 

 

Sweet Lindley

Lindley is so funny! She just goes about her way and does her thing. She thinks she is as big as the other two and doesn't miss a beat.

She found her a cooler and goggles and was a happy girl!

She wasn't feeling well yesterday and slept quite a bit. Just a low fever and coughing. I think it is a cold. She was so pitiful.

Luckily she woke up feeling much better today!! She was full of her sweet cheesy smile!

She found one sock and made Jeff put it on her. Then she drug her shopping cart in my bathroom while I was getting ready. What a silly girl!!

Glad she's feeling better!!

Little helpers!

We finally bought an entertainment center for our TV. Of course we had some help putting it together.

Playdate!

Lance wanted to have a play date with Micah so we picked him up and went bowling, to lunch and then came home to play for a bit. A friend of Lilly's meet us at the bowling ally.

Playing on the table! He spent most of the day with us and they were so good!! This week Lance is going with Micah to the movies! He is so excited.

Future artist!

Painting a canvas was on Lance's bucket list so we worked on that this week. I made them draw their picture on paper first, then on their canvas in pencil. They were mad at first, but glad they did once they started drawing.
