24lbs!!!!!

So we both felt like Lindley was gaining weight, but I hadn't weighed her in awhile. I finally remembered tonight and she is 24 lbs!!!

When we went a little over a month ago after they had been sick she was around 22.5.(That was down about .5/1 lbs from what she was) Assuming our scale is accurate that's 1.5lbs!! WHOHOO!!! Not only did she put back on what she lost while sick she gained .5 lbs!!!

Libary, Pancakes & Bass Pro!

I ended up between both girls in our bed last night and Lance ended up on the floor. Needless to say I didn't sleep well. Plus my allergies are still bothering me. I woke up when Jeff came in, but went back to sleep and didn't wake till 8:30. I wasn't feeling well and the big kids were still asleep. I decided to skip swim this morning and take a rest day. Lance ended up sleeping till almost 10!!! Poor boy was worn out!! After I showered I decided we better get out for a bit (no swim = crazy kids by evening).

We decided to go to the Daphne library just to play for awhile cause we haven't been there for awhile, then grab some 56 cent pancakes at IHOP!

In honor of their anniversary IHOP had pancake stacks for 56 cents!! YES PLEASE!!

They were in heaven! Lance had three different types of syrup! I was tempted to go back for dinner, but was good and didn't!

So as we are leaving IHOP Lilly said, now what? I said, "home". Lance said, "No Bass Pro". I had mentioned both Bass Pro and the library when discussing options. I thought we decided on the library and then IHOP. Apparently we decided on all three....so off we went!

Isn't the purpose of the ATV's and boats sitting out for my kids to sit on each one?? LOL!

She's too much! I LOVE HER!!

 

So while we ended up getting out it was still a very low key day. We weren't rushed and just had fun.

Monday afternoon...

We were planning on going to the movie at the library on Monday, but when it came time to go Lindley was still sleeping and the other two were busy playing so we skipped it. A bit later we decided we needed to get out for a bit. They decided the park was a good idea....saying "we haven't been to the park in a long time". I stated, "it's the middle of summer, it's hot". Anyway, we decided to go do the school playground (our community park is getting a total makeover and won't be done till next month). I went knowing they would last about 10 minutes and then want ice cream.....

They did have fun..

I was right in case you were wondering....after about 15 minutes Lilly was saying she was hot. Lance wanted a drink....and then...."can we go to Mr. Gene's Beans"???

Happy 4th!!

We had an AMAZING holiday weekend! Jeff was off Thurs-Sunday so we took full advantage!!

On Thursday morning the kids had the Firecracker 400 at swim. They race for two laps around the pool. It's mostly chaos, but they get ice cream sundaes and then get to play so they love it!!

Lilly didn't place, but Lance got third (his group is MUCH smaller). She was happy with her ice cream!!

Thursday night the big kids stayed with my mom. While they were waiting for Mammaw THEY decided I needed to take pictures of them. I wasn't going to argue. They chose the poses and combinations.

Lance is SO excited to be able to do a Mohawk! He is constantly ask me if it still looks good!

 

On Friday the kids and I did a little shopping and then Jeff cooked chicken.

Then we met The Nelson family down by the bay for the fireworks. It was a beautiful evening!

The kids had a blast!

There was a breeze and it wasn't hot at all. Such a great night!!

 

 

Saturday night we had the Nelson's over for a fish fry. We were supposed to do it last weekend, but Harper was sick and I wasn't feeling well so we rescheduled for this weekend. 

The kids played in the slip-n-slide and hose while Jeff cooked and we visited.

This was late....they were wound up....dancing!

The morning after....I'd say she was worn out!! She slept till 9:30!!!

 

 Even though we were worn out and honestly our allergies were bothering us we decided to head to the beach. We borrowed my parents canopy and packed a lunch. We had a great time!!

The water was a little cool at first, but once you got used to it, it felt nice. There was a sand bar a good bit out and we went out there and caught waves. The kids loved it!!

This little guy almost got me!! I was sitting at the edge of the water and he came crawling up. Lance saw him and warned me. I lifted up and he went under me. Finally Lilly grabbed a bucket and got him out. The kids tormented him for a bit!

 

We were exhausted from a fun filled weekend, but it was worth it!! Such great memories!!

More summer fun!

We try to go to the library on Wednesday afternoons. They always have some type of program. Today it was Legos!! The kids had a blast!

 

They worked together and had a blast!

Lilly says she wants to play softball in the fall. So we bought her glove and tonight did a little practice. It was so sweet to listen to Lance coaching her. LOVE those moments!

It's crazy HOT here so unless you are in water you aren't outside. This past weekend we went to the splash pad with our buddies!

I have no idea what she had going on here, but she was having fun!

I told them to watch and sat one of our cups on the ball when the sprinkler was off. Then boom it blew it out!! They LOVED it and did it numerous more times. CRACKING up...so sweet!!

We are having a great summer! Lots of water and friends!! Keeping it simple but enjoying it!!
