Tonight was Lilly's first swim meet. She didn't want to do it, but we encourage her because it was just an intersquad meet and we thought it would be a good way to ease her in. She did great and seemed to really like it.

This is her first heat, the backstroke. Her time was 32.53 and she was 2nd in her heat!!
She was SO pumped after her first heat. I don't think she had any idea how exciting it would be. She told me before her freestyle that her goal was to not touch the ropes at all. (This is something she can do, but doesn't always). Well she did!!
Words can not express how PROUD we are of her. All we asked her to do was try her best and boy did she ever!! I think she has finally found something that she really enjoys. We will see how it goes the rest of the summer, but she said she wants to do the next meet!
*Lance is also doing swim team, but had a very rough first week. This week was better, but he wasn't ready to do a meet yet. He says he wants to do next weeks, but time will tell.....
